Bird Dogs - my most popular core exercise


The Bird Dog works rotational core stability. Basically your core has to work hard to stay in alignment as you extend both your arm and leg. This movement also works the entire posterior chain (back of the body) from the buttocks to the upper back.

Getting good at this exercise is crucial for your posture too.

Out of all the deadlifts, swings, lunges, planks etc. it is this movement that everyone finds the most difficult. Give this exercise a go as part of your core workout.
